As a GEM Missionary you can take advantage of the premium features of SendGrid through GEM.
Fill out this form to request a SendGrid account.


Once your account is setup, you will login to SendGrid with your Microsoft account.  You can find the app at https://office.com/apps under GEM Apps, or at https://app.sendgrid.com/.




Before you get started sending e-mail campaigns, you will need to import your contacts.  I will show how to export from Mailchimp as an example:


1. Login to your Mailchimp account and navigate to Audience > All Contacts.



2. Be sure the correct list/audience is selected in the drop down at the top of the page.

3. Select "Export Audience" on the right side.

4. Once the export is complete, select "Export As CSV" on the following page.


5. In SendGrid, you can import this file directly to your contacts by navigating to Marketing > Contacts and selecting Add Contacts > Upload CSV at the top right of the page.


6. Match the fields to each other so First Name, Last Name and E-mail Address are correct.  Ignore the remaining fields and finish the import.




Things to Know:

    Single Sends are the equivalent to Campaigns in Mailchimp

    Automations can be useful to send a series of e-mails automatically to a new subscriber.

    Signup Forms can be embedded on websites or linked to directly so contacts can subscribe themselves to your newsletters.
